Was doing an suicide difficulty egg destruction mission when two of the divers in the squad left. Me and the other guy switched to sneaking around the map, distracting the bugs with turrets, using the auto cannon to snipe bug holes from a distance, etc.
Used an artillery mini nuke on the last nest and got out of there.
Died trying to extract, but the mission was a success.

The situations where you and a random have half the squad call the mission a failure, only to pull out a 'by the skin of your teeth' success are such a rush omg.

Dropping your equipment right after you start can actually attract patrols.
The game apparently has a full detection system based on sound and vision.
Limiting how much noise you make can actually keep the heat off you very effectively, so you don't have to fight your way across the map.
