In front of a bike shop in their parking area! Where I was told to try out the bike I was going to buy! All while I couldn't hear myself think because multiple cars driving on the nearby road had illegally modified their vehicles to be as loud as possible.
That's a classic carbrain bias shortcut. The driver think: there is no car, I can go, instead of: there is no {bike, motorbike, child, rock, car, anything } so I can go.
This in my opinion is a good reason to have bylaws that enforce backing into parking spots. You can ensure the spot is clear as you approach, back in, then ensure it is clear when you leave.
Foolish pedestrians. Don't you realize that the outdoors are for cars? You shouldn't be allowed to exit your home unless you immediately enter an automobile.
