They're set for life just based on the job. But like every other rich retard, that isn't enough. Humans will always seek more when given a little. Being comfortable isn't enough for the narcissists that get into positions of power. They want to make those before them feel weaker to make their position seem more important. They're the middle management. Useless and needing to justify their existence.
Plutocracy refers to a system of government where the wealthy individuals or a class of affluent people hold power and influence over a country. This form of governance allows only the wealthy to rule, leading to policies that primarily benefit the rich. The term originates from the Greek words "ploutos" meaning wealth and "kratos" meaning power or ruling. Plutocracy can manifest directly through wealthy individuals holding political office or indirectly through regulations and programs that favor the affluent. This system can inadvertently create income and asset-based inequalities by concentrating power among the wealthy. Access to political power in a plutocracy is often restricted to those with wealth or support from the wealthy, reinforcing a cycle where policies benefit the rich.
I said on mastodon that the correct decisions is who the states put on the ballot is up to them. However states do not elective a president, they send electors. The electors will not be allowed to choose Trump when they meet. Ideally this comes with a reminder that no law or contract may bind who an elector votes for when they meet. This would give the electors a lot more power which I think is a good thing (and also the whole point of them in the first place).
The election might go to the house of representatives of course.
