Bug or feature - Swipe to hide only temporarily hides posts, when you reopen the app or change instances, they all reappear

Mostly just wondering if I've set it up wrong lol

i hope is a bug. the hide button should tell the lemmy instance that i have read the post, so not show it again.

Feature. When Sync hides posts, the IDs are only stored locally and so you lose them when you restart the app
- This is actually great for me. I hated how cluttered my "hidden posts" were in other apps. I personally like the idea of hiding posts in the moment and resetting when refreshing.
  
  I love it too for "hide read" but I'd rather posts that were manually hidden stay hidden.
