Oh, I got my hopes up, but this headline is slightly misleading. It's just shadowbanning posts that have misgendering and deadnaming in them. A baby step in the right direction I guess

  Well there was someone who was shadow banned on Reddit by mistake for years, and they thought everyone hated them because no one replied or upvoted. So it's not always the best option.
  
  I think shadow banning is unethical. You trick people into yelling at the void, never knowing why nobody ever responds or interacts with them.
  Sure, fuck bigots and all that, but undeserving people inevitably get caught up in automatic filters and by overzealous mods.
  I say ban and give a clear reason why you banned and use a combination of browser fingerprinting & IP address to ban new accounts.

Musk isn't pulling that service from it's debt load no matter what he does.
- We found out that Reddit has been operating at a loss for twenty years now, so I expect the next great and amazing business move from Musk will be a ~~pump and dump~~ IPO where they offer first crack to the Sooper Dooper Twitter X Blue Premium Ultra users, and all the right-wing shitheads will talk about how amazing and glorious and brave this move is while none of them buy any shares at all.

I guess Space Karen wants just enough normal people to stay on Xitter in the hopes it makes money?
