note that a motion to reconsider the bill has also passed so it is back in committee for consideration at a later date. most likely they will want some trigger provisions that require neighboring states like Washington and California to pass a similar bill for it to go into effect, as it would complicate interstate commerce far too much to have 3 states with 3 different applied time zones.
We have all wanted to get rid of daylight savings time for decades, yet we seem unable to move forward. Does not bode well when it comes to climate change action when we cannot even address a made up thing.
