  • I like what everyone else said and then also I dont think anyone mentioned these:

    • Empire Files
    • It's the Butcher!
    • Red.
    • Redspark Radio
    • The Michael Parenti Library
    • Paul Cockshott
    • Danny Haiphong
    • Marxism Today
    • Please don't recommend Paul Cockshott. He's been a rampant transphobe over the past few years and he doesn't hide it. None of our trans comrades should have to endure that

He directly insulted a trans friend of mine in a Facebook group several years ago. He's that unhinged, hanging out in Facebook groups that talk about him. His work may have been influencial in the 80s, but at this point I have to question anything the man has to say because of his fixation on being the most British style terf on earth.

      • Really? That's incredibly disappointing to hear. I will unsuscribe but I actually liked to listen to some of his more academic presentations...

        That's a real shame soviet-huff

        • Yeah I'm sorry to inform you. He may know statistics and numbers and all that, but his head is completely warped with transphobia and homophobia to the point of obsession. He's always been a little reactionary I think, like I remember someone once told me he was against Irish liberation in the 70s. He's real bad now, he goes around saying the LGBTQ+ movements are CIA false flags designed to destroy socialism. He literally is what liberals accuse us of being: complete class reductionists who disregard sexual/racial/religious/etc liberation.

This is a good article if you're really interested in seeing just how reactionary Cockshott is: https://comraderene.wordpress.com/2021/01/04/paul-cockshott-an-intellectual-for-imbeciles/

I wish I could recommend someone similar who has similar academic credentials and isn't a horrible person. The closest I know is Alexander R. Galloway, who wrote Protocol, a really good book on digital networks from a Marxist perspective.
