Why in the year 2024 and with all the knowledge humans have now do people still believe in religion?

Not everyone believes in that knowledge or feels it is true.
- As an agnostic I understand those words but they lost all meaning when put together like that.
  Knowledge isn't really affected by belief or feelings - those things can drastically change the application but not the reality.
