First time in the US and in Washington DC. Thought Supreme Leader Biden's Palace was bigger...
Besides that, experiencing the imperial core for the first time after becoming a commie has been interesting, to say the least. United Statesians seem like great people, it's just too bad they're indoctrinated as hell when it comes to leftist ideas.
So our party leader is going around on television to highlight how Colruyt, a leading supermarket chain in Belgium, is supposedly paying 0.27% tax on a 1.8 billion euro profit. But the thing is, it's not entirely true. If you look at all the daughter companies and the main company together, the actual tax percentage is around 25%. Still, it's less than an average Belgian person has to pay of course but it seems that either he and our study dept. fucked up on this one or he decided to roll with it anyway and got caught with it.
Now, of course this 'communist lie' gets more media attention that normal. But it still is weird to just tell misleading information.
Meanwhile a local branch of far right party Vlaams Belang is parading around a guy who dresses up as Hitler and newspapers decided to give ´Little Hitler´ a visit to ´hear his story´. We´re worse though.
So, I am one TMS short of the final treatment that is going to happen tomorrow. They say it will have it's effects in 2 weeks time. I feel better, but from complex causes, mainly a supportive family.
Today I attended my very first protest and met the president of our party. On one hand it was a blast, I had old guys congratulating me showing up for the event and a young comrade approaching me to engage in a conversation. Not to mention the several positive comments and smiles I got for the pins I was wearing. On the other hand, I have hyper-empathy and I hated every second of people walking by and making comments and so on. There was even a dude spitting once towards the speaker. How do you guys process shit like this? The feeling was and still kinda is unbearable.
Anyone has that hoang phan post about ex-nazi hired by CIA to produce plague bombs for korea? I saw that post in lesser known facts on quora can’t find it, because it was deleted, I believe he took a screenshot on that.
I'm surprised you expect people to know who hoang phan is, and yet I do. However, I cannot help you, as I was only active a while ago on that terrible site.
I’ve been subjected to too much NPR in the last few days. It’s sad hearing them and knowing Marxism would help them so much in making sense of the world. For example I remember when, on Planet Money, the guest was asked what would happen if there was no unemployment. He couldn’t come up with an answer.
Don't let the name fool you, they receive more private funding than public funding. They even got mad at Musk for slapping a "U.S. government-affiliated media" label on their Twitter account, crying, "no, in fact, we're almost 99% privately owned!" and ditching the platform.
I have liked a couple of their programs, but even their best program cannot escape the confines of the liberal braincage.
Oh, during Bush's presidency, they banned the word torture from being used in any of their pieces detailing his administration, claiming it was a loaded and biased term to describe waterboarding. So.
When I met Stalin, I did not find him enigmatic. I found him the easiest person to talk to I ever met. He is far and away the best committee chairman of my experience. He can bring everybody’s views out and combine them in the minimum of time
there are dozens of small business in my area that have between zero and three employees, each of these businesses got hundreds of thousands of dollars in PPP loans, all of which were forgiven
my guess: physical publications (e.g. newspapers) were very important for propaganda before the Internet, and Trotsky likely wrote about their importance, so contemporary Trotskyists dogmatically apply this to modern times, ignoring the fact that physical newspapers are now more or less obsolete (particularly among younger generations)
Whiteness is also an imaginary concept and a figment of the racist imagination, of course, but that doesn’t make it any less real, or deadly; whiteness is a thing because people insist that it is, and use force and violence to make it so. Whiteness is a thing because white supremacists needed a name for their violent subjugation of others, and so they gave it one. In this way, whiteness is a uniquely virulent and pathological form of social identity. It cannot survive its loss of supremacy; it cannot abide competition or mixture or “impurity.” Created by racial slavery and given a second wind by European imperialism, whiteness depends on the violent subordination of all others. Celebrate your Irish heritage if you must, or your Pennsylvania Dutch grandparents; that has nothing to do with the whiteness that names me, now, but which (partially) excluded my Irish and German ancestors when they came to this nation. Irish and Pennsylvania Dutch can and will survive incorporation into a multi-ethnic nation, but it is the sine qua non of whiteness that it cannot and will not. Inextricable from racial subordination, whiteness has no other content at all: whiteness is what’s left in the melting pot after everything else has been burned away. Without that xenophobic fire, it has no meaning, no substance, no fundamental.
This is why “white genocide” actually does have a meaning beyond “racial integration.” If you take away a white person’s ability to live as the undisputed master of the universe—to take his own experience as normal and privileged, and to presume all others to be debased copies of his own primary existence—then you take away his whiteness.
There's an actual Milieu fan posting stuff on the Belgium subreddit, saying we need one in Belgium as well. Surprise surprise he is also bashing our party. What a coincidence.
Apparently it was only banned in the US, but not even because of the communism but because I guess there was a character that looked too much like Jesus Christ. I don’t really remember the episode (it wasn’t banned in Canada so I know I must’ve watched it) but did you enjoy it?
Just got a new COVID shot, and they say the Sputnik vaccine doesn't have any sever side effects, but after it entered my body I started to feel like restoring the Soviet Union.
What if there was a Marxism test? Not so people could brag about their scores or be allowed into things, just a diagnostic assessment. It could be used to figure out one’s theoretical weaknesses and what they should study. More like a personality test than an important standardized one.
Of course all former military commanders have access to current military strategy and are allowed to share this. This would not be a big security risk at all
Frugality is useful for helping individuals and possibly communities save money, but it's not going to harm capitalism. With that said, the only one I remember here is /c/povertymeals@lemmygrad.ml
