One of my best childhood memories is building a coil electromagnet with my dad and measuring the field (in a simple way, range of effect in inches across a flat surface lol)

I only ever did one thing for a science fair and it was dropping an egg in a box with varying materials to see what protected the egg the best.
Nothing protected it very well.
