It is public transportation but you can move your car.
Imagine if you wanted to go 7 hours away and have your car when you got there. You won't have to pay for a Rental Car or deal with that shit of 'We took your reservation but we don't have any cars". You also don't have to drive yourself.
I would use it. If it was reasonably priced.

Nazi Germany actually considered a 3 or 4 m gauge railway (this is the distance between the tracks; the train would be about double that). In comparison, the broadest tracks actually in use are 1.676 m wide. The plan was cancelled following WW2.
