Right now I am on a Sheep Farm, should I pet the Sheep?

they own the hills and valleys, this is their kingdom

Not petting sheep is reactionary.
- I must pet sheep for the sake of Communism
Feed them some grass first to gain their trust.
- they have so much grass already, they have a very very open space full of much grass and bush.
  
  Is there a special treat, or some sort of ritual?
  
  in general, 'anything green/vegetably from outside of the paddock' is a treat for any herbivore

  Carrots. Celery. Apple. Watermelon. Blueberries. Strawberries. Raspberries. Bananas.

  My goat thinks bananas are the best thing on earth, if I hold one up so he can see it he'll come sprinting over. Carrots are up there too, but really anything with high fructose is gonna make them happy.
If you don't pet every sheep equally it's not real communism

Livestock are not pets, city boy
- Farm animals can totally be pets. My chickens let me pet them, my ducks follow me around the yard and my goat is sure that he's a dog.
