Petition to make mastodon.social and .online defederate from Threads

I’m so torn about this defenerating thing. Could someone come up with a pros and cons of them federating/defederating?
- OP states it loud and clearly on his site: "IF WE ALLOW FACEBOOK ON MASTODON, MASTODON WILL DIE."
