Battery monitor script not working

Hi, I’m using riverwm & the battery monitor script i’m using is working on terminal but not working through the autostart file. I have given it the executable permission.

~/.config/river/scripts/bat_status_notifier.rb &

What's in the script?
- it's working fine on running manually. the script is not running on autostart .
Does it start with a crunchbang?

  Does the crunchbang point to the right shell?
