What is the best way to create Desktop Shortcuts on Linux ?

I have the App Pinit its very nice to make Desktop File but what is the right Firefox Command to create a new instance of Firefox with a very compact layout ?

  • Surely webapp-manager is the way to create webapps on Linux.

    Also the extension Pop-Out can pop out any webpage to look like a webapp (but not with it's own profile etc).
