F1 News: Zhou Guanyu expected to sign new Alfa Romeo contract

I'm glad to see Zhou getting support from Alfa. He's got skill. I just hope they have a car someday that can (at least for part of the season) allow him to be somewhat competitive.

Good, he's a good lad and quite a driver. Would love to see him in a more competitive car in the future.

Yeah I don't really see why not tbh. I wasn't really a fan of Zhou entering the sport because I assumed he'd just be another very mediocre paydriver. But it turned out that I was wrong in that regard, he's able to compete with Bottas and on top of that he seems like a nice and calm guy. Hopefully the car gets a bit better again

But why? Their team have been complete fucking garbage. Wouldn't it be better for him to find out when the new teams could be joining the grid, then sign a short term deal that takes him right up to their entry so he can bail on a team that haven't done shit this year...or before?
