Remastered?! Didn't this game just release? Why is there already a remastered edition? Video game graphics haven't advanced that much in the past few years, have they?
Someone else tweeted that they supposedly had a smaller team of newer employees work on this to get them familiar with the engine so that when TLoU3 goes into higher gear they have more employees trained and ready to execute.
And I think the new survival mode is meant to appeal to people who will now have to wait longer for the multiplayer. So for most it'll be $10 for survival mode, director commentary, lost levels, and higher res and frames
And good news for existing owners of The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4! You will be able to upgrade to a digital version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered for $10 USD at launch. You’ll also be able to import your saves from the original game to Part II Remastered.
So $10 for directors commentary, lost levels, survival mode, and other enhancements. I've beaten the game already but I might upgrade anyway for the commentary and lost levels
It is really just a DLC to the game. You can play the original game just fine without this. It seems reasonable to give gamers a choice to pay for additional content if they think it is worth the value of what they have added. I don't think I would consider that a cash grab. If nothing was added and it was just a graphical update, then I would agree with you but 10 bucks for a new game mode and cut levels is okay if you're into the game. I personally have a backlog that I'm still working through so I'll wait to get caught up or if it drops in price to like 5 dollars or below to see what the new mode is about.
