It very well might be a real exploit. Lemmy was briefly taken down by an XS attack using the emoji library... so who knows, maybe a 3000% smiley face is all that is needed
I think there a lot of phone scammers that use font size to hide all the shit they're doing. Like they make shit so small so that the old people can't see anything

They used the type of link that goes to where the community would be on your server if someone there had already subscribed. Try the absolute location on lemmy.world to decide whether you're interested or not (and I wonder how long it will take a bot to complain about that link?)

You can tell it is fake because of "z-index: 1" no one uses such low numbers with it.
