How is this game? Anybody got feedback? As I recall from gameplay videos from when it first launched, it seemed like a lot of fun particularly because it was melee based instead of a shooter. Interested in trying it out when it lands on PS5.
It is definitely chaotic fun when you get a bunch of squads together in a clash. It’s pretty simplistic, and kinda janky, but I put a good 10 hours into it before getting bored, and at the price of a month of gamepass that was worth it to me. With it going F2P I’d be worried about p2w elements creeping in, but honestly I don’t even remember what the micro transactions were about because I just played matches and ignored everything else.
There is no P2W element in this game, and the game is purely skill-based.
The game is indeed janky with the parry and cancelling mechanics. Once you are familiar with those mechanics, it's really fun with the holdchecking to see who have bigger brain.
The game was designed with asian elements so it might be weird if you are westerners.
Thanks! Yeah, I’m curious to see how they transform it from paid to F2P. Micro transactions are likely going to make it in, but going off of your and the other comments, it sounds like it’s worth a shot. If the micro transactions become annoying, I could always delete it without having wasted any money on it.
I attempted to play it maybe six months ago(?) And I couldn't find a game. I queued for a match and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It might be better now, but I didn't really get far with it.
The game has a cool, somewhat basic battle royale setup based around melee combat. Personally I wouldn't recommend it because melee fights don't work well with even slight ping. There's a counterattack system you can practice very effectively in the training mode, but then it won't work - at least not with the same timing - in live games.
