Description
Steampunk Computer writes on Lorenz LO-15
Steampunk Computer controls a teleprint and uses it as a printer. The computer sends a 5-bit code to the receive magnet of the recorder. This then prints the sent information purely mechanically on paper. The data set can also be encoded into a perforated strip. > The teletype can receive current data from around the world via the PC as an interface, emails, weather news, RSS feeds, etc. and is able to print text documents sent to it by the computer.
Umlauts and capital letters are not possible, the printable line length is also limited to 65 characters. Currently, 2 devices are in use. The Lorenz was recently joined by a Siemens T37. This has also been completely prepared and controlled via an interface. Both devices and the computer unit will be presented to dievers exhibitions. Conditions for rental please ask.
