What is this creature?
Location: New England
It's body is almost 2" long. Antennae and tail put it over 6" long.

I don't know the official name, but I think it's safe to call that thing "nightmare fuel".

And no it's not a stinger, it's for laying eggs into tree bark.
the tree might say it's a stinger...
Is that an ovipositor in your bark or are you just happy to see me?
