Photographer did the wrong kind of shootin them
And they paused there so someone can step ahead and take a picture?
You can tell by the ripples they were moving forward.
It doesn't have to be the first group crossing the water, could be part of a longer the column
Haha!
Seems not very healthy. I guess some of them may be dead by now
Question to those who are cringe here, would these not be Wehrmacht conscripts, unlikely to be politically aligned to the National Socialists. It's 1942, and presumably front line troops, during Germany's backfoot of November to December.
The bulk of volunteers was from 36-39, but Germany forced conscripts till the end of the war sooooooo. Act like a fucking human being and respect the dead.
What do you call someone who's 'brave' enough to fight for genocide, but not brave enough to fight against it?
A fucking Nazi.
Does that mean that you parttaking in an exploitative society by contributing taxes and work hours to its economy makes you a capitalist pig?
If you think of it its pretty easy. Just dont work for them and dont pay taxes. If you think deserting to the soviets who most likely just put you in some kind of barn and starve you/send you back on the front as a human wave is acceptable it must surely not be that bad to not be a scourge on society.
Wermacht was fairly politically aligned. The individual soldier might've not been politically aligned but I wouldn't really mind Wermacht troops being labeled Nazi troops.
Not deep enough
Hypothermia will stand-in for drowning here, no worries
