Have you heard of the famine we're living in now? Help me and my family get food.
Suleiman. I bear the greatest burden for my family — I am their main provider. Here in Gaza, we live on the remains of hope. We need you to extend your hands so that we can continue living.
Right now, I — along with many others in Gaza — am living in tents made only of cloth. These tents cannot protect us from fire, shrapnel, insects, or the scorching sun. Diseases spread easily among us, and we cannot even treat ourselves because of the lack of medical supplies. Can you imagine?
There is also a severe shortage of food, water, and electricity. And when food is available, prices are so high that neither I nor my family can afford to buy it.
Before the war, we had everything — a small farm, citrus and fruit trees, greenhouses, olive groves, wheat, barley, water wells, homes, and electricity generators. But all of it disappeared in the blink of an eye.
We pray for compensation, for relief to come soon, and for this genocide and famine to end — not just for me, but for all the poor, hungry people of Gaza.
I’ll stop here… I don’t know what more to say or what else I can do.
Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your time.
