  • For real, why do we only enable the necessary locale?

    I think one reason is efficiency. Update-procedures of some packages involve recompiling some resources for every used locale. Also it would require more space for something the user would rarely ever need.

      • I know that Unicode results in more storage requirements for Asian scripts, but it is still the best thing what happened to the IT world imo.

        I might be able to help you with the ticket, but the real challenge is the process of immigration. There you need to be prepared to fight the multi-stage boss named Bureaucracy.
