Why would you bring up binary gender with fixed binary genitalia in a post about something being genderless? Clothing is really arbitrarily gendered anyways, so of course it doesn't make much sense who is supposed to wear something and who not...
My apologies, it was late and I didn't consider that I probably should have used terms for sex characteristics instead of social ones. I was simply going off the wording used in the meme, because that's what prompted it for me.
Sadly it's still sized to fit some body types better than others. If you are very short or very tall, or have very large breasts or very wide shoulders, then your options are usually limited.
There are so many cis guys who'll say things like "Oh how I wish I could wear dresses/skirts/etc." and I just wanna tell 'em that they can do exactly that? It's not going to change your gender or anything... It might get you started though but hey.
The hardest part is going and buying those things, especially when many dresses are not made for masculine builds. I've received enough judgemental looks to only shop in-store with women friends, but it's still hard to have the confidence to try something on.
Oh we definitely get that. We're more than confident wearing whatever out but still prefer shopping at thrift stores where it's quieter and nobody's really there to bother or judge. Though not a lot of thrift stores have changing rooms so it's kinda going in blind if you don't know your exact sizing and measurements yeah.
Yeah, the sad truth is that there absolutely are gendered clothes. The issue lies with manufacturing and the fashion industry at large. I really wish there was a place where I could shop for dresses that naturally fit my male frame, but nearly everything I've ever liked has needed alterations.
I blame the Victorians for getting us into this mess.
I'd like to see adult gender revealing parties! Yeah why do the babies get all the glory?
Here comes the party LGBTQ-ist!...wow! That's a guy! But what about the tiddies? He hasn't reveale....wow! Those things are huge! Welcome Dolores! Our new Transexual...they, as they like to be referred to, do not take no for an answer! They are here to be beautiful and are looking for sssspecial someone! Jake! Sure, asexual but they love each other! Let's give it up for Dolores and Jake y'all!
If you really think about it, skirts can actually be more comfortable for males to wear than for females considering the shape of their body.
It makes you feel the wind a little too well though. But I guess that's probably a problem for everyone.
