Jeffries began a marathon speech just before 5AM EDT, after the budget reconciliation bill moved to a floor vote. A budget reconciliation cannot be filibustered, but he is holding the floor and postponing the vote until citizens are awake to prevent it from passing under the cover of night.

He has been reading letters of concern from his constituents aloud, so Republicans are forced to hear the impact of their support for these cuts.

- Endorsement from a moderate is not as important as support against Trump. We just need to know they’re in his corner for the inevitable clashes with Trump’s ICE mandates. Hochul especially.

Too little, too late. The bill will pass and the right-wing propaganda machine will go to work finding ways to blame liberals, socialism, Obama, Biden, ANTIFA, trans athletes, illegal immigration, or whatever else. MAGA will remain in their silos, never seeing any of the shit, and even after losing their healthcare, still believe the dribble that it somehow was a brown, black, or "other" that caused it.
