From Middle TN Raptor Center

As usual I am behind on posting! New arrival yesterday evening. This little screech owl fell out of a tree onto a 4-lane highway in Columbia. I believe it was a utility crew that saw the bird fall and stopped to pick it up but didn't know what to do with it. This is one lucky duck or owl I should say...a sweet lady told the workers she would find a rehabilitator who could help. We appreciate her traveling to meet us and giving this little one a second chance. This little screech isn't far from beginning to branch and explore. In fact, it is likely that is the reason he ended up in a predicament. He is doing great!
