As such, we're in a strange limbo, and we're not totally sure where this leak came from. Until the dust clears, it's a good idea to change your Steam password if you don't have any additional security.

In this day and age, if you are not opting in to any 2FA offered then you are a mug.

All the celebrities who were victims of the Fappening, or at least the first waves, did not have 2FA on their iCloud accounts.

89 million accounts with creds don’t get sold for $5,000. It’s probably just email addresses.
It's just phone numbers and expired SMS MFA codes.
