If a better metaphor for communists on the internet exists, I haven't heard it. This is hard to beat.

Should get a regular salary
The operative word in that statement is should, Leon
"Does that mean you're going to harass the owners to pay them a living wage, Leon? Maybe hand them some literature, mount some social pressure or a boycott? Change the laws? Give the owners a pile of 'tip' money from you, to give to the workers as proper wages? Something?"
"No. I like the owners. They sell me milkshakes."
Give the owners a pile of ‘tip’ money from you, to give to the workers as proper wages?
I think that last one might not be all that effective
Yeah, I want waitstaff to be paid a living wage.
Until that happens tipping is a necessary evil.
Or maybe tipping is enabling the practice?
He was right. Tipping culture is horrible and should go away.
Right sentiment, wrong solution.
You don't fix workers' problems by being a dick to them and making it hard for them to afford to live - you fix workers' problems by inflicting the pain on the decision makers - employers and legislators.
Let’s make living wages a thing first
That's how you make it go away
In drag's country, we listened to Trotsky. Nobody tips. And it's great. We have a living minimum wage and waiters actually get paid it.
