While that is a great looking keyboard, I don't understand the choice to make the top of the keys circular. I suppose it's better than the indented keys from their previous offering. Either way, I guess it didn't matter because I'm not in the target audience for an $800+ keyboard.

That's likely. It may be the angle or difference in the appearance of materials, but it certainly looks more severe. I feel like it would cause me to hesitate while typing, whereas the slks don't cause that, though I still do not prefer them either.
