First, communism is a nebulous term that is used a lot of different ways by lots of different people. So I don’t think it’s meaningful to condemn or endorse without first defining what you mean. I would encourage you to be more specific about the ideology or political faction you are describing and you might get more support.
Second, don’t confuse Lemmy.ml with the rest of Lemmy. That place is weird and everyone who’s not a bootlicker gets banned, so it’s a very “special” group of people.
Usually people dislike the authoritarian communists.
They don't necessarily even hate communism. They hate the people that call themselves communist.
Yes, I'm talking about .lm and hexbear
Yeah that’s what I was alluding to. Maybe I should have been a little more explicit but I think there’s a broader point here about how nebulous and contentious terms like this divide people unknowingly, when they may not even disagree on the underlying issues.
For example, anarchocommunists might feel criticized by this post, but I doubt that’s who OP had in mind.
Where did you get that feeling with your 2 day old account? O.o
You made me curious to go and see what triggered this—dude got one downvote on a comment
The person you’re speaking with thinks Russia isn’t committing genocide in Ukraine and seemingly is in defense of most everything they do, so…
In an anti-communist post, It’s not a big surprise that they’re here to poke holes in everything that projects them in bad lighting.
And right before that, they claimed some horseshoe bullshit.
You know people can have more than one account, right?
Ahahahhahaha ah, yeah, that's basically my experience on this platform
It’s so often we see these bootlickers telling everyone how capitalism is bad, but so fucking rare that you ever see any of them saying how communism is good, let alone proving it without a copypasta wall of text.
They’re like a bunch of flat-earthers that are convinced everyone else is wrong about a spherical earth, but cannot for the life of a single one of them, produce a shred evidence to validate any of it. So instead, they just post these insanely lengthy declarations of rhetorical psychobabblery and meaningless quotes, and then yell at anyone who tries to inject reality into it.
Meanwhile, we all float on, going about our lives, on this round planet of ours.
The same people who pop sieg heils and then cry about nuance and squeal about unfair labels think that everything to the left of Bill Maher is a communist.
I feel the idea of communism is incomplete. Or at least debatable on the mechanics of an actual working system. A classless and stateless society that loves classifying and controlling people might be a little hard.
This is like saying the idea capitalism is incomplete because a true free market would soon sell fentanyl, organs and slaves, aswell as find every possible way to dump their trash into rivers. Both ideologies are merely mind games and contain abstract concepts like a free market (that is never truly free) or owning the means of production (that doesnt mean you can take your part of the machine home).
Also nowhere in the theory of communism is it mentioned that you should classify and control people. There are sentences like that by Marx himself but this is always a description of what he witnessed in his life under monarchy.
Just one example: You mentioned that communism should be classless but communists somehow love classifying. You got the first part partially correct, communism should try to eliminate classes. But do they love classifying? Absolutely not, they say its a necessary tool, in a non-communist society to be aware of the class you are in and try to break down class barriers around you, this achieving this classless society.
What you did, was saying: "Doctors love to pretend they heal you, yet somehow they love stabbing you" leaving out the fact that they stab you with needles/syringes in a controlled manner and they dont love the "stabbing" part, they love the part were after the stabbing you get better because of it.
Capitalism only works under the rule of the law. The law is what protects individuals from aggression of other people.
But if you agree to buy fentanyl, and the seller provides a quality product that is not adulterated, that's between you two. At the same time, you're not allowed to go to a public place and make a camp to use your drugs.
I'm sorry. I should been more clear. I meant society as in all of humanity that has built in hierarchical tendencies of control would be a little hard to form a true stateless and classless system. I personally think we should strive to get as close as humanly possible to that ideal even though I think we can't ever fully encompass that goal.

LOL I had similar experience when I responded to this post https://lemm.ee/post/61781690 saying that it is the same thing, just wrapped differently.
I wonder if the people down voting this understand the irony...
Saying something stupid on purpose and getting flack for it is "irony" now?
I downvote because it's low quality engagement.
The artists is a got-damn Nostradamus!
I downvoted it because they got the colour of the arrow wrong.
