  • The media class at these big journalism firms are complicit hand maidens for capital (as a class, mind, not each individual member).

So yeah, you're gonna see the internal contradictions of capitalism downloaded to individual responsibility to the proletariat class. Climate change? Don't use plastic straws, recycle, buy an electric car - but also if you start to change at scale its still our collective fault as farms convert to veggies or O&G converts to solar etc. Slow immiseration of wages? Don't eat so much avacado toast, skip breakfast, just rent forever that's fine - also it's your fault if the consumer economy slows down as you implement this advice as a matter of survival rather than preference. Children? It's your fault if your a welfare queen, no one should expect handouts, don't have kids before you're ready - also it's your fault if the class as a whole stops having kids so hurry up, don't you want your entitlements?

An honest reporting about these issues and others like them would always end up at "this is an internal contradiction of capitalism and they've decided the proletariat will pay the price and not them" which would risk their position as a media class serving the bourgeoisie - because it might inspire action but also the owners aren't content with mere power, they also don't even want to feel bad about wielding it as the destroy and grind down the global working class.
