  • Went out for dinner last night, got a porterhouse. Some drinks, more drinks at another bar. Aldi beer.

    Then I promptly fell asleep at 11pm.

    It's fun when my partner's birthday is within 10 days of mine 😂 he is my best friend, I love how we can make each other laugh.

    • Sounds like an excellent evening!! How fun is it when your partner is your best friend? Boyo and I were in bed last night, unable to sleep and just talking and laughing about the stupidest stuff, it was excellent (aside from the lack of sleep thing).

  • Helping the kid organise her stuff. Fake eyelashes, fake nails and hair accessories give me the heebie jeebies. Yuck. I need a shower.

    She came out with a whole bunch of cables for her dad to sort through. He secretly loves it.

    I’m now home and contemplating being in bed by six. It sounds pleasant

  • Well, despite barely sleeping at all out of frustration and resentment and the heat, I seem to have woken up feeling alright and the day was rather pretty and fun for what it was, once i realised other deadlines were going to have to get tossed out beyond my control

    Still got a lot of uni stuff to do before meeting tomorrow and I had banked on a short office day today to give me more time. Am now exhausted and about to see psych after which I rarely feel like doing and work but we'll see... maybe I'll reward myself with pizza tonight if I can get it all done.

  • Eastlink account has now been updated with the new vehicle. I had to phone them because the previous owner still had it on his account.

    It does make me wonder what the legal situation is if you just keep driving on someone else's account. Would they be stuck with the charges because they have agreed to pay tolls on that vehicle, or would it be considered some sort of theft by deception because I know I'm not really authorised?

  • Banning myself from more plants until a possum solution is contrived. RIP parsley, violas, and heritage lettuce.

    • My local ringies have absolutely destroyed my potted fuschias. In previous years the mint has been fairly safe - not this year. They even had a go at the lemon thyme and the really spicy oregano, neither of which have been targeted before. Lotta hungry possums out there rn. So far the chives are safe but I'm holding my breath a bit.

      • Mint and oregano safe so far. These are all baby plants so not much bounce back ability yet. Gonna strew some grotty cat litter and get a solar motion activated light I think.
