  • My parents neighbor's cat Leo likes to come visit them whenever he escapes. First he'll come to the back door, then the front windows, yelling and pawing at them if he sees anyone around inside. After we let him in, he runs over to the designated petting chair and waits for someone to follow and sit down so he can jump in their laps and receive pets! But, he knows if it's been raining that my parents towel him off first, and so he runs over to the towel first on those days. He's a beautiful floofy orange cat with thumbs and really smart but really goofy

  • For Oliver, his bedtime routine. Once he thinks I'm getting ready to go to bed, he'll sit by the stairs. Once I get there, he runs as fast as he can up the stairs and then looks behind him to make sure I'm still coming. Then he runs to the bedroom, again stopping and looking. Then when I go to the bathroom he runs back out of the bedroom to join me while I pee and brush my teeth–I leave the door cracked for him and he pushes in with his head. While I'm getting ready he skitters in and out of the bathroom being annoyed with me. Then finally when I go towards the bedroom he runs and does a flying leap into the bed. (Which means that sometimes when my partner is already in bed he lands right on his dick 😅). He runs over to my side of the bed and lays down and then I slither my way in. I'm a side sleeper, so I turn over and get myself tucked all in and comfy. And then he goes up to sit on my butt like it's his little kitty cat sofa.

He doesn't sleep with us all night but he almost always comes to bed with me and I just love that he has his little routine and that I'm part of it. 🥹

  • If I'm laying on the couch and Izzy finds out, she jumps up and curls up with her butt in my armpit. I've actually used that to get her out of hiding when it was vet time.

  • He always wants to sleep in bed with me and my husband. But he always lays down next to my husbands feet, where he will be kicked eventually at night. He never even tried to lay down at my side, even if soo much space is left :,)

When I am working from home he sometimes lays down on my mouse. While my hand is still on said mouse.

He acts like he wants nothing to do with us, but silently follows us around in the flat, laying down wherever we spend time.

  • Trying real hard to narrow it down to one each:

Purrcival - When we pass by each other, he wants pets, but I am usually too slow to bend down, so he hops up slightly to rub his head into my hand. This often happens multiple times in quick succession as I move around the house doing stuff and he follows me.

Meowtholomew - He's super skittish and sometimes I worry he doesn't get enough wet food because he can get scared off by a random noise, or his siblings, quite easily. But the way I confirm he has had his fill is after he is done eating, he will take a BIG, overdramatic stretch as he slowly walks away.

Dr. Snugglepants - True to her name, she loves to snuggle. But she is very particular. She has to snuggle me first, but I am not always allowed to snuggle back. I have to find the perfect moment when she has reached the perfect state of snuggles in order for her to be ready to receive snuggles back. Otherwise she will flatten like a pancake, or get annoyed, or move and try another position, or just leave. She may be the tortie with the least tortitude I've ever known, but when it comes to snuggles, it's in full force lol

  • She’s a tabby so she rolls and swims on the carpet all the time. She also does flip tricks when killing her innocent toys for the nth time.
