Jewish Students Chain Themselves to Columbia Gates to Protest ICE Jailing of Mahmoud Khalil

Jewish students chained themselves to gates at Columbia University Wednesday in support of Mahmoud Khalil, the former Columbia student protest leader now in an ICE jail in Louisiana. On March 8th, federal agents detained Khalil at his university-owned apartment building, even though he’s a legal permanent resident of the United States. They revoked his green card.

Crazy a bunch of antismetites chained themselves to a gate, because as we know antisemitism is when Jewish people (one semetic group) stands in solidarity with Arabs (another semetic group). Specifically its antisemtisim because a bunch of Right wing European politicians (who arent semetic) got offended

- Palestinians aren't Arabs. They've mixed with them, but they're the non diasporic jews. Most are Muslim yes, but that's because Islam was very successful at getting converts at that time and place. They also contain the oldest group of Christians, and plenty of people who said fuck that to all the new prophets and messiahs as well as to the romans trying to make them leave.
  
  I wouldnt quite call them non-diasporic Jews, theu absolutely have Jewish ancestory but afaik its not the majority of their ancestry. Also a lot of their ancestry comes from Caaninite groups.

- Here is everyone's nearly daily reminder that there is a difference between antisemitism and antizionism.
  Criticizing the Israeli government and its leaders is not the same as criticising all Jewish people.

  therefore I've always taken anyone who says,"I'm not antisemetic, I just think Israel shouldn't exist (IE, anti-zionist)" is a closet antisemite at best. Like a smug dork saying,"I'm not Republican, I'm Libertarian!" And I don't really thinks it's a game of semantics. It is semantics.
  I can say that I really think the current Israeli gov't should be exiled on St. Helena and not allowed to leave or communicate forever, but that doesn't mean I'm anti-zionist. People who are anti-zionist seem to only have a selective and limited knowledge of a few thousand years of the history of the area.

I agree, fuck the settlers and the Israeli gov't right now, but that doesn't seem to matter. Again, very right wingy. Something doesn't work to satisfaction, so instead of fixing it, just get rid of it. Seems like the current US gov't approach to "fixing".

- ...I thought it was don't vote for Harris? And yippee, it sure is great that you couldn't be fucked to vote for the lesser of two evils. Although maybe the current burn-it-all-to-the ground (focused on both Gaza and the US), will allow some type of phoenix resurrection in a few decades. I guess time will tell if your one-issue non-voting really made a difference or not. Short term, pretty obvious fuck-up, but long term you might have been onto something all along.
