Single Stocks

I'm new here. I've seen a lot of posts recently on specific individual stocks. As a complete laymen, how does a single stock doing well or poorly relate to 'the economy'?

Intel is kinda so so. I pick some up at their last dip and dumped it lol. I'm a brokie so only had 15shares. I'd go for a long term hold but only if I think they are getting bailout money from chips act
