Fun fact: Thunder does help plants grow, more specifically lighting does. When it lightnings the nitrogen in the air is split apart and combines with the oxygen in the air to form nitrogen oxide and gets washed down by rain into the soil and is absorbed by plants. After some lightning plants will usually look extra green.

What exactly is “raise your words” supposed to mean?
- it means use better language/expression/figures of speech instead of using simplistic trump speech style.
  
  Is that what it actually means or what you expected it to mean given context?
- You have to stand on a step stool before you can speak.
- I think in this case it's along the lines of "kill them with kindness" given the rain and thunder thing

Why shouldn't a dog lick their paws? Or is that part of the joke?
- Only if they are doing it too much, It can be signs of an injury or allergies.
  
  No symptoms! Only health!
- They often do it very loudly and sloppily and it’s just annoying/gross. Especially when they’re doing it a foot away from you right when you’re trying to fall asleep
  
  Lol, try having a cat. I often wake up to mine tapping me on the head with his outstretched leg whilst licking it.
