Looking for EU shaving supplies

Firstly I want to get rid of my Gilette shavers since the cartridges are expensive for the handles and don't last so long, so I would like to move to some safety razor solution. At least I also reduce my plastic usage.

I'm also open for alternative shaving foam and after shave products.

My blades they said it's developed in Berlin but no idea where it's made. But these blades are the best. Used them for almost half a year and I got no irritation, keep in mind these are sharp as fuck if you accidentally cut there'll be blood, alot

Merkur. Dodge the Wilkinson Sword stuff, it's crap by comparison.
The 34C is a great little handle and it's like 50€
- Merkur is mostly out of stock now, I wonder why...
- I love my Merkur razor but the swords are my go to blade, and I've tried everything I can find online. I have sensitive skin that breaks out easily and their blades work the best on my skin.

For shaving cream Proraso is excellent.

Depending on where you are in Europe there are many small shops that still make House blends of shaving cream, or more likely, shaving soap. Shaving soap with a good brush is superior, you will never go back to shaving foam. It's cheaper too.
For disposable blade straight razors the Turkish brand Sedef is good.
I use either my Sedef or an old Gillette I got for $3 at a flea market. I also have an old Merkur, but the action is not as tight, so it sees less use.
- +1 for proraso! I wanted to comment about them because I use their shaving soap that needs to be used with a brush and it’s perfect

I'm using their own brand shavette with (currently) Astra blades and am very happy with it. I also use the green Proraso shaving cream. Should I ever run out of it I'll try one of Meißner Tremonia.

I personally use a combo of an Edwin Jagger safety razor made in Sheffield UK https://www.edwinjagger.co.uk/ and Derby Extra blades from Turkey https://shavelounge.co.uk/brand/derby/. The result is a comfortable shave at a very low cost
- Thanks for these links. As someone who's stuck to the usual suspects bought from supermarket... Anything I need to be aware of switching to this? Like, will I need to shave more carefully, use different technique? Or just shave as normal?
  
  It takes a little bit longer at first, but not really. Make sure the blade is sharp and replace it if not, keep tension on the skin, and let the weight of the razor do most of the work without putting extra pressure on. I’ve let others try mine (with a new blade for hygiene) and they’ve managed just find without slicing their face up.
  I recommend a more traditional shaving soap over squirty foam, but that’s a lot more personal preference. I’d also strongly advise a good after shave moisturiser to reduce razor burn, a lot of cartridge style include a thin strip of it (which actually make shaving more difficult as it’s slippy), obviously a safety razor doesn’t have space for one so a little bit of manual cream application is advised, plus it smells nice.
