Monty Williams' wife was diagnosed with breast cancer during the playoffs.
He didn't take the Pistons' coaching position until after his family received positive news about her diagnosis thanks to early detection 🙏
Jeez that's horrible news for him. Didn't he lose his first wife due to someone drinking and driving?
20 year marriage. She died in front of 3 of their children in the car when hit by a driver on meth.
The highs and lows he's experienced in the last couple decades are pretty extreme. Heartbreaking.
