Lost Skies!
Build an airship and explore floating islands in search of ancient knowledge while fighting against robots and flying fish. It’s a spiritual successor to World’s Adrift, if you’ve heard of that.
The demo is an early build and is buggy and laggy, but it is super fun.
Have played the demo and can confirm, great fun :D
I loved worlds adrift back in the day and this demo feels so good to play.
Cant wait to see how the development goes and how the final release turns out.
At least a dozen games, I hope. It has become tradition for me to delve deep into next fest demos and try at least 20 or so games from my favorite genres. The last few times I discovered some of my favorite games of recent years. The ones I'm sure so far are only Breathedge 2 and Solar Punk.
I'm anxiously waiting for the Gothic Remake demo. I hope my Steam Deck and me are up to the task.
Wasn't the Gothic Remake demo already out for a few years, or is this a different one?
I know my laptop could run the demo I was thinking of, but I did need to put in some extra cooling (extra fans) because oh dayum, did it run hot. 😅
That was a playable teaser. It was awful. They wanted to gauge interest in a full game. This new demo is for the real game. It looks and plays totally different. It's still a bit clunky but much better than the playable teaser.
It's the same demo they have shown to press and others on conventions the past few years. So you might already have seen some scenes from it. They keep updating it. Last time I saw it it didn't even have a save system.
That looks pretty cool
I recently checked out the demo to Static Dread and it ia lit.
RoadCraft and Monster Train 2
Is it only for this morning?
It runs for a full week!
Thanks! Lot's of awesome demos downloading :)
I haven't heard of this, but I'm assuming from the past that this is a sale and based on the image, it runs from February 24th to March 3rd.
I don't think that I've seen Valve organize sub-one-day sales in the past.
It's not a sale. It's an event with demos for upcoming games, usually full of hidden gems. If you're an indie dev, you have to get a demo out in time for one of these (they happen 3 times a year, I think), they are a huge boost in visibility.
