Since I discovered Oklahoma onion burgers I’ve cooked nothing else (I mean I’ve cooked other things but no other kind of burger). So much flavor.
So, is there a better burger anywhere? Anyone?

Depends on what you like. This is essentially how White Castle sliders are made, and I personally think that's something of an acquired taste 😂
It's just a smash burger with extra seasoning, so maybe play around with that. I think the key to any good burger is just the seasoning.
My personal keys to a burger:
Don't pulverize the meat. Barely touch it in fact.
Salt 20m before cooking
85/15 ground mix
some garlic in the oil on the pan for 1-2m before adding beef. Pull it before meat goes in.
Well, sure, it’s a smash burger but with no seasoning other than S&P, just a shitload of super-finely chopped onion.
Interesting, I'll see how much of this works for beyond burgers. Thanks 👍
I wouldn't add any salt to Beyond Burgers though. They have tons of sodium already.
I am a big fan of crust, and caramelized onion, so these would make me quite happy. I enjoy the occasional thiccboi, but generally speaking I'd rather have two or three thinner patties with extra crust vs. one big patty.
