First shot at vegan baking... it smelled burnt the entire time it was in the oven, somehow?

It's my turn to bring cake to work tomorrow, I found this recipe .
I added some instant coffee but my jar slipped and I probably added too much... now I'm contemplating whether the buttercream might cover it up or whether I'm just baking a second cake and freezing this one for myself

edit: Yeah, I definitely fucked up with the instant coffee haha
Still edible (especially with the buttercream, it's still a 6/10 cake), but I don't want to bring it to other people.

Made a new one instead, which this one I actually took the time to sift the baking powder and instant coffee so that it doesn't stay in random bitter chunks
