LemmyWorld admins ban competing drama community and troll landlord community that was affilated with infamous subreddit r/drama and its offsite rdrama net

Good job LW chadmins for doing something Reddit badmins failed at; taking care of these evil stochastic terrorists that harasses innocent people.

The wording is a bit strange and I'm completely out of the loop. What happened here? Is this a good or a bad thing, in your opinion?
- A good thing because the people banned were trolls. However, the community banned had 1.34k subscribers, which many were in good faith.

They will most likely run mod applications or ban the rest. I believe !drama@lemmy.world is the largest community that has been banned from all of lemmy, as it had about 1.34k subscribers in the end. r/drama remains unbanned from reddit, reddit never went as far as banning them, only casterating them until the subreddit bacame useless and they moved offsite, which remains up to this day (you may remember r/drama from the famous r/teenagers ban wave they did years ago)
What will happen next? Only time will tell.
- Is there a non troll option for drama? I used to love hobby drama, because it’s an interesting snapshot into a whole new world, but I was disappointed by the drama community that has now been banned.
  It’s not something that conceptually has to be trollish, ideally it would either be time or platform distanced from the drama to avoid brigading, etc.
  
  Here or !lemmydrama@lemmy.world, but that was moderated by drama mods, I'm certain mod applications will be run there soon or someone will request it.

  That community isn't affilated with the drama people. It was probably created by lone wolf or some other group like Hexbear.
Why did love for landlords get removed its obviously satire.
- Seems like all communities that are tied to that group of trolls was nuked. I agree it was obviously satire..
