We can add the new Nosferatu to the Christmas movie list. I saw it last night and >! There's a Christmas tree in a couple shots!<
Starting to think my butt is a Christmas movie.
I think people should make a distinction between "Christmas movie," and "movie that takes place on or around Christmas."

- I'm pretty sure the "there's snow, there's a Christmas tree, this is a Christmas movie!" is a joke though. I haven't ever done this joke myself. I guess still need to find what in Die Hard makes it a Christmas movie :) .

  it's Christmas eve, part of the premise is a dude returning home t family for Christmas, there's a Christmas miracle (that he survives at all), the villain is after material gain and is about to ruin Christmas, and John's wife's name is fucking Holly! What more do you want‽

  For example your comment makes me think of the "Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie" people, but it would have been a completely different movie if not for the office Christmas party.

The movie is First Blood, not Rambo. Rambo wasn’t in the title until the second movie.
- Still Rambo. Same as Raiders of the Lost Ark being Indiana Jones 1. Or Batman Begins being part of the Dark Knight trilogy.
no but actually tho. the first one is about a veteran having an emotional breakdown when veterans frequently do: the winter holiday season
- Yeah First Blood actually had a little bit to say, it wasn't just an action movie

  Are you kidding? It's a great story about PTSD, prejudice, and how vets are treated after Vietnam.

  i think there's a universe out there where Rocky and First Blood establish Stalone as being the contemplative action movie guy. both those movies had interesting things to say about grief, loss, disappointment, and carrying on with the traumas of what pursuit of the american dream actually mean
- They drew first blood, not him! He didn't have a breakdown until after he was repeatedly harassed.
- I recall he was looking for an army buddy that had died. From hopes of the holidays with a friend, so harassment from police.
