If it purged the entire ecosystem what are the trout going to eat? Seems like they won't stay unaffected for longer than it takes to starve.

I forgot about the impact on the trout population memes and I wish for them to make a more aggressive comeback than the trout population.
But will the destruction of the foodchain in that ecosystem impact the trout population.
