We're mostly staying around at home with a few weeks off which will be lovely (it's a small sized government city, so empties out as everyone goes away on holiday). The weather is warm and humid and so the city is so much more pleasant and liveable without traffic and so on.
We have lots of hills to get out into, so in going hoping to get on my bike a lot. There's skate parks for the 16 y/o and so on. I might finally get around to stringing up a tree swing for the teens, hopefully (and thats how I put one of the kids in hospital over the new year... - fingers crossed).
I hope this doesn't come across as bragging just the southern hemisphere has a very different vibe to the US/Europe scheme
The plan was to visit my parents in Germany you for 3 weeks. But because of my wife's work we can't and we are staying in South Korea.
And to all the disappointment I realized that poppy seeds are illegal in South Korea so I can't even make our traditional desert Makówka: https://jeena.net/poppy-seeds-korea
So today is the 24th and we are working. Tomorrow the 25th, we will meet some friends families in a Café, because the wife's family is not celebrating christmas, and the 26th back to work.
The little one is at least going to Kindergarten and can have some fun there during the day, but it's so sad for the older one who is at home because school is closed for those three weeks. At least I'm working from home so she doesn't need to be alone.
