How Religion Can Help the Climate Fight: At an especially fraught time, some religious leaders see a role for the faithful in advocating for climate policy.
On the other hand, there are also loud religious voices still claiming that human caused climate change is impossible because people can't break things their God made.
And others who are seeing climate change as another sign of the apocalypse that their sect has been eagerly anticipating. Anticipating to the point that they're willing to nudge things along to bring on that apocalypse sooner- ideally during their lifetime.
I would think the Muslim world would be getting more interested in climate discussions with temps during Hajj being lethal (1200 deaths this year alone)
Because it's on a lunar calendar which doesn't have leap months, the Hajj rotates through the seasons. This means that while we may see something similar in 2025, we'll stop hearing about heat deaths for quite a while after that.
