Regular user here. I just noticed that none of my browsers on multiple devices can pull up Proton services.
Basically I was cut out what appears to be a few minutes ago.
Anyone else experiencing this?
There's a post on Reddit that confirms the outage. The major problem here is their status page that says everything is fine after about an hour and a half of outage.
Are there statues manually set? Or just broken?

Glad to know I'm not alone. Also, Proton's offering to be a replacement to the big wigs - as it turns out even the little people need their emails and calendar. I was kind of scrambling to think of what I could do as a work around and pretty much settled on I've got nothing.

Their systems currently report that everything's fine, which - to be fair - could be a misreporting and change at any moment
Anecdotally all their landing sites load fine for meTackling it from the other side: could it be a problem with your DNS?

EDIT 2: It is being reported on other sites too, but currently there's nothing official I could find, not even on their Mastodon or Twitter various accounts
EDIT 3: On reddit the volunteer mod alex_herrero wrote an hour ago that "The team is aware and [the] status page will be updated shortly".
It's pretty unacceptable its been down for several hours and their status page says all is good. I get shit happens, but the lack of transparency is making me reconsider paying for service next year.
Same here... I'm a paying user for over 8 yrs now. This is unacceptable

What are our other options for email outside of the big tech corps?

Trying to login to mail with desktop Firefox through a ProtonVPN server.
I'm experiencing this too. Desktop mail + from browser.
Proton mail and wallet are working for me.

I'm also having issues, today with proton VPN I've been having major delays, I tried hotspotting from my phone and three other WiFi connections and it wasn't until about 20 minutes of trying, changing servers, that I finally got a slow connection. Also my phone internet seemed to be crawling.
It is down here, on the laptop. It is working on my android phone though.
Down for me as well 😢 , looks like it loads sometimes but all actions result in errors
