Rust by itself is a great language, but what really makes it shine are its many great crates. The ecosystem around rust is one of the best there is, and its documentation is practically unrivalled. So lets look at some of those crates!
Actix-web is an amazing web server framework for rust. It's modular, easy to use, intuitive and fast.
It's also what lemmy is built on! So when you use this very site, you are using something build with actix!
Bevy is a code first game engine for rust, based on the ECS paradigm. It's incredibly refreshing and different from most other engines. It is also unbelievably modular, in fact, just about every part of the engine cam be removed or added as you please!
If you are every looking for something simple to play around, try bevy!
Serde is the go-to library for serialization and deserialisation in rust. Its derive macros make it a breeze to use, and there are countless crates supporting various formats with Serde!
A neat little crate for sending http(s) requests! It's also used in Lemmy, and just about anywhere else where someone needs to do get some
thing from an http(s) endpoint!
And this is far from all! Rust is a lovely language, with an even more amazing ecosystem!

I don't really know what to do with this information because it's not like this changes much. I have had a grand total of 0 romantic partners ever so saying I'm open to dating more at once doesn't change anything really, but the more my horny bi ass has been thinking about trying dating again as a trans girl, I keep getting torn between "do I want to go for a BF or a GF" and the answer is "I kind of want one of both?". I absolutely could not do two boyfriends or two girlfriends, but I feel like if I'm in a monogamous relationship with just one man or just one woman, I'd be constantly thinking about dating a person of the opposite sex/gender because they both scratch a different itch for me? Men and women are attractive to me in completely different ways and make me feel completely different and I can't imagine a man fulfilling my desire to be with a woman and vice versa
idk. maybe if i find a partner these emotions will still be there, maybe they'll go away. maybe they'll still be there but i'll just ignore them because the idea of dating two people at once sounds hellishly difficult
/srs: If being poly is what you need to sate this, then fuck yeah. It's not something you have to decide on now ofc, and Idk if having a partner will change it. Good stuff to think about though c:

I feel the same way but still consider myself poly fwiw, love is cool plus if I had partners and they had partners it be easier for everyone to get their needs fulfilled. I know polycules can start becoming branching webs requiring maps and stuff but still at least you got people around to play board games with.
