Lots of IT still in the military also some of the "contract out" is done by reservist and is tied to their military contract. Those still in military are your tier 3 IT and admin.
They don't exactly deploy cyber security soldiers to do combat patrols. They're doing the same job whether they're in D.C. or Berlin.
It's like half and half. Some is contracted out, but there are definitely active duty service members doing cyber security work as well.

The actual strength of America's Military doesn't matter because they don't have hostile nations on their borders. So when America's Military loses some of their force projection ability it can be used to say we're turning towards isolationist policy, which is also a win for him. If you can get through basic and fulfill your tasks you should be able to be in the military. If the government doesn't want to pay for "gender affirming care" that's fine. But these people should still be allowed in the military.

Well I hope you're right. After reading your comment I went to check sources for this story on Ground News. The original source sense to be a paywalled article in The Times which I can't read. There are many other sources but they're not what you'd call top tier, and they may all be feeding off each other (see screenshot below). So yes, there seems to be hope that this is false.

Not something anyone can stop if he chooses to go through with it. He is the commander of the armed forces. He can make sweeping policies like this that fuck up everything.

Everyone saying "he can't really do this" is still in living in hopeful dreams.
